WHO IS THE SUITE GIRL?
Suite is for the girl that loves attending cocktail parties, but makes a quick escape with her coat around her shoulders. She loves the stories her grandmother tells about being a bit of a troublemaker before she met her grandfather. She feels sexier in a cinched-waist taffeta party dress than in the latest sequin number from the mall. She thrives in the opportunity of today, but daydreams about the era of Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot. She gets lost in museums, imagining what it would be like to get locked in at night, left to wander the empty rooms full of treasures and take a nap under an Alexander Calder mobile. She chooses each item in her wardrobe with love and discrimination, always looking for timeless style with unique details.
MEET JENNIFER
A native of Syracuse, New York, Jennifer attended FIT in New York City and Polimoda in Florence, Italy. After falling in love with a charming Italian, she abandoned normality, packed her suitcases, and moved to Florence. There, she worked as an embroidery designer for major European designer Blumarine. In 2008 she earned a spot as one of sixteen designers for Bravo’s fifth season of Project Runway.
Jennifer’s label, Suite, was born shortly thereafter. While staying at the Plaza Hotel, she couldn’t help imagining some of Eloise’s wardrobe getting mixed up with luxury luggage destined for one of the splendid suites. That moment of inspiration sparked the idea for Suite, which is also inspired by vintage 50’s and 60’s bon ton clothing, playful prints, and all things colorful.
After 16 years in Italy, Jennifer and her husband moved back to New York City in 2017. With plenty of online fans and a feature in Matchbook magazine, the following for Jennifer’s whimsical and feminine designs continues to grow.
